Mission
The mission of the Women in Product Toastmasters Club is to provide an opportunity for women to develop product management skills, build and practice communication techniques and gain leadership experience in a safe, supportive and collegial forum.
Why Product Management?
The WIP Toastmasters Club was founded by women with a passion for Product Management, as an opportunity to develop the skills to excel in their careers and personal lives as the leaders they were born to be. Join our product- themed meetings to learn from others in the field, to grow as a product expert as well as an experienced Toastmaster. No matter where you are on your product journey, this club is for you!
The club was started thanks to connections made possible by the Women In Product Facebook community. We closely collaborate with Women In Product to support their mission as well as our own. To learn more about our collaboration, see the WIP page.
Why Toastmasters?
The mission of Toastmasters International is to "empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders." This mission of Toastmasters resonates perfectly with our vision and goals. As Toastmasters, we are called to hold the core values of integrity, respect, service and excellence; and strive to in all that we do.
Specifically, all members participate in Pathways, the Toastmasters educational program, to reach their chosen goals. Members participate in club meetings to gain speaking experience and practice receiving and giving effective feedback. Leadership opportunities abound! Members are called to lead both within and outside of the club.
